and what's a proper garden without some wildlife? last week, we found this nest in our front garden bed. i was hoping it had been knocked out before eggs were laid, but no such luck.
today, mr. toad very graciously took a little break from hopping around with his friends for a photo op. isn't he handsome?
happy gardening!
How is Mr Toad not traumatised by your cats?! Ours are little terrors with all the local wildlife including toads! One even let a magpie loose in the house the other day! Your veggie patch is looking great too!
ReplyDeleteLots of yumminess springing up there
ReplyDeleteMy son would love the carrots. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your garden is looking great! I keep standing on my deck staring creepily at the itty bitty sprouts coming up from my boxes. There has to be an announcement every time. "there are three tomato plants coming up!" "I see a nasturtium!". "my lettuces are starting to look lettucey!".
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking fantastic! We are getting really close to putting everything in the ground, and I'm so looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see how big everything gets!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking lovely and abundant! We're drowning in salad greens in our neck of the woods too. Unfortunately, I seem to be the only person in the house who actually likes salad! So I'm up to my eyeballs in lettuce and arugula. I am a bit sad for that mommy bird, though! Sniffle. (Don't mind me, I'm pregnant.)
