in 78 days...

...it will be christmas! can you believe it? yes, i know that many of you are thinking about how you should start shopping or at least making lists or some other such reasonable thing. for me, this means that it is time for my annual obsess-about-christmas-cards-tradition (quite possibly my favorite part of the whole season).

last year i took inspiration from the incredibly lovely curly girl design. the whimsical designs, witty sayings, and creator Leigh Standley's unique multi-media style come together in the most fabulous way. you should visit her blog, get inspired, and then head over to her shop to buy yourself something fantastic.

see what i mean?!? adorable. in fact, now that you've seen just how adorable my inspiration is, i'm a little afraid to show you my novice knock-offs... i'm just hoping that the adorable-ness of our girlies will make up for my lack of graphic skills ;) so here they are, our 2010 christmas cards:

and while we're reminiscing about christmas cards, i can't resist showing you what might be my favorite picture of K ever (although, sadly, very sadly, i had an crappy camera at the time so the resolution is terrible). it was our christmas card in 2004... the year that the stork and santa conspired to bring me a little bundle of loveliness a mere 38 days before christmas.

and now i will think and photoshop and google and plot and plan... 2011 christmas cards, i can't wait to see you!
