handprinted: a fabric swap begins!
i'm very excited to be participating in this fabric swap, hosted by Leslie of onegirl designwrks. have i handprinted fabric before? no, but why should that stop me... right? since i signed up, i've been looking at lots of the different ways to handprint fabric (including lots of ideas that Leslie has posted on the onegirl blog) and i'm itching to get started... fabrics in the washer as we speak, even. here's hoping that i'll have some pics of printing trial one to show soon!
in the meantime, here are the fab ladies in my swap group (go check out their sites... they all look fantastic! how cool is it that i'll be getting handprinted fabric from each of them?):
Jessica from Nebrasksa: etsy store bornlippy
Riyo from Japan: blog talktothewind
Emily from Oregon: blog The Handmade Experiment
Lili from Tasmainia: blog Lazy Days
and if you're interested in seeing out what all of the groups are printing, you can check out the handprinted: fabric flickr group here.
i'd best get to fabric prepping and block carving... stay tuned.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! The prints I'm the Flickr group look good. I have an unused screen printing kit that I keep saying I'm going to get round to trying out but never have!
