it is done!! and i think she likes it :)

option #4 (def the fan favorite) was the button choice winner.

due to a little buttonhole issue with my machine, we went with pearl snaps for the back closure. i'm pretending that the fact that the "pearl" cracked while hammering in the snaps makes it look vintage. just go with me on this one, mmkay?

a lot of you asked what the fabric for this dress is. the floral print is Sophie by Chez Moi for moda in blue fiesta. the polka dot fabric is Patrick Lose Mixmasters Dot-to-Dot for Robert Kaufman in blossom.

ooh, and i even entered the dress in october's celebrate color: wearables.

  1. Love the way it turned out! Of course, the pics don't do it justice! Can't think of a cuter dress for such a cute little girl!

  4. Shut up.
This is absolutely beautiful! And your model is just adorable. I hate when the snaps crack, I've done that many times (grrrr). I keep scrolling back and looking at it, it's really-really cute. Awesome job!!!

  5. thanks, all... eres muy dulce!

liesl, it is a beautifully constructed pattern! thanks to you.

venus - the first two snaps cracked and then the third didn't, so i had to hit it harder so it would and match. this is how things work with me ;)

  7. Kara - (for blogger) in the layout tab, choose add a gadget, then choose the picture option. i made my own jpg to upload for the picture, but you can find a jpg of the pinterest logo pretty easily with a google image search. it will ask for a title, caption, and link. i left the title and caption blank and entered my pinterest web address for the link. (same process for the other link buttons as well) hope that helps! and thanks :)
